KEY TAKEAWAYS FOR ONLINE COURSE CREATORS

Do you need a website? Not at first.

But you do need a couple things:

    1. An email newsletter plus a way to get subscribers (free gift, landing page to optin, thank you page, download page/option)
    2. A way to get paid
    3. A way to share your content – lots of ways to do this

Be sure to check out Mini-Course Magic to get started.

Eventually you do want a website – and here’s why:

    1. A central hub for your online presence
    2. Make you look more professional and credible
    3. Some people do still check websites
    4. One of the most visited pages is the About page
    5. Blog – to share new content, and as a long-term content
    6. Determine WHERE are you sending visitors? (for example, Pinterest)
    7. Remember, social media is rented real estate!
    8. Give people a place to binge your content!

When you want to add a website:

    1. Where will you host it? (Some all-in-one tools give you a website too)
    2. What pages will you include?
    3. What will the branding look like? (just redid a client’s website)
    4. Is there a template you can use?
    5. What’s your budget? Is it DIY or will you hire help?
    6. What’s essential to include on the home page?
    7. What pages will you need to sell?
    8. What pages will you need to optin?
    9. What domain name will you use?
